Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, a severe bacterial, tick-borne illness characterized by fever, muscle pain, abdominal pain, vomiting, headache, diarrhea and the characteristic rash, has been confirmed in three Campbell County residents, with one still undergoing lab testing, said Dr. Dan O Leary, acting state public health veterinarian.
