    Good to know: Shelley Duncan said he was "extremely" relieved to learn the results of his MRI exam taken on Tuesday in New York, where he was diagnosed with a bone bruise of his left pelvis and a small inguinal hernia. Duncan traces the bone bruise back to a hard slide during the Yankees' series at Toronto in August, but he said that he has likely played the whole season with the hernia, mistaking it for general soreness.
