    According to a news release, Safe Kids put an emphasis on topics such as airway obstruction, bike and car safety, fires and burns, poison and water safety during its first year in Tucson. The news release indicates the organization participated in various community events and partnered with local retailers in its efforts to reduce adolescent injuries and eliminate childhood deaths.
